WFE PTA BLOG:
For anyone wanting to join the PTA, you can now pay online! Visit the following link: https://wfe.memberhub.com/dues to pay via credit card.
By joining the PTA, you are helping us to meet our school’s needs outside of what is within the budget. The money you put in towards membership goes into our school. You also get great discounts, detailed on our website under Board Information. When you volunteer with the school or join the board, you are setting an example for our students, and encouraging our teachers and staff. Membership is only $7 per person.
We understand that parents have limited time these days. By joining the PTA, we do not expect you to come to meetings, but we hope if you get a chance, you will. Meetings really help you to get a feel for what is going on within the school and is your best source for information outside of newsletters. We also do not require you to volunteer - though we LOVE when you do.
Artist Leni Newell will be here from October 9 - 13 to help our 5th graders create art banners that will be permanently installed in prominent locations throughout our school. We are in need of 2 volunteers for each Art Room shift, twice daily. For the 5th grade banner project, Leni, the visiting artist in residence, will be asking volunteers to oversee each student as they print, stamp, paint onto the muslin fabric banners, to make sure they are following directions, stamping/painting in the correct areas. You may be asked to walk students back to class and pick up the next group of 10 students that is painting on the banners and you will be available for Leni if she needs assistance. Leni has a unique skillset as an artist, designer, and art educator. This is an awesome opportunity to experience the process of a professional installation artist and silk painter!

From September 20 - 22, Art Teacher Ms. Hearn needs help with Kindergartners who will be doing handprint art from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. each day. One parent is needed each day to help wash off hands so Ms. Hearn is free to call up the next student. This is for Square 1 Art, which is a fun way to buy gifts for family members through fundraising! To sign up, please visit: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040e4aaea96-artroom1
Thanks so much to all our volunteers for your continued support!
Your child will be bringing home an Attractions book and order envelope on Monday that has all the information you need printed on the back.
Our Mission is to raise funds for WFE. If every student in the school can sell 1 book we make $4,750.00, 2 books sold would be $9,500.00. You see what we can accomplish working together.
The average family saves over 373.60 a year with this book. You get the book and the mobile app. Plus, the mobile app works for all 23 Attractions editions.
Our Goal is to have orders turned in on October 3rd.
Your orders and your child's prizes will be sent home the same day. 5 books purchased through EZPay will get you a free book. The link for EZPay is: www.AttractionsBook.com/ezpay
You must use our special code (WFEROCKS) when ordering online.
If you choose not to participate, return the book immediately to your child's class. The book is not free.
Thank you for supporting Wake Forest Elementary!

Who is keeping up this blog?
Hey, it's me, Kenna. My kid is in Mrs. Matala's 4th grade class. I'm keeping the blog and website up for the moment. Let me know what you want to see more or less of. I need feedback to make changes. Thank you for participating in the PTA. I believe all of our kids benefit when we pay attention.
